    Finding Calm in the Body is a 4-week, trauma-informed group for adults (18+) who want to learn practical, body-based strategies to:

      ✔ regulate their nervous system

         ✔ reduce symptoms of anxiety and stress, and

         ✔ reconnect with a sense of calm and safety in their body.

     

     

     

    A somatic therapy group designed to help you regulate your nervous system, reduce anxiety, and build resilience from the inside out.

    What You’ll Learn

    Each 90-minute session includes:

    • Education about the nervous system and stress responses
    • Mindfulness and somatic therapy techniques (based on evidence from trauma research and neuroscience)
    • Guided practices to calm the body and quiet the mind
    • Opportunities for reflection, discussion, and gentle integration

    $340 for the full program 

    ($85 per 1.5-hour session)

    Eligibility


    Open to adults (18+) experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma-related symptoms, or nervous system dysregulation. 

    No prior therapy experience is required.

    About the Facilitator

    Shanen (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist offering virtual therapy in Ontario. She specializes in trauma-informed, somatic psychotherapy and is trained in approaches such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.

    With deep respect for the wisdom of the body, Shanen helps individuals build nervous system resilience, reconnect with themselves, and find greater ease in everyday life.

    Is this therapy group covered by insurance?

    Yes, sessions are facilitated by a Registered Psychotherapist and may be covered under extended health insurance plans. Check with your provider to ensure that your plan covers this service.

    Do I need to have a trauma diagnosis to join?

    Not at all. Whether you’re dealing with general stress, high-functioning anxiety, past trauma, or emotional burnout—this group is designed to help.
