    Finding Calm in the Body is a 4-week group designed to help you improve your ability to manage symptoms of stress, anxiety, and trauma.

    Each session will focus on helping you understand and regulate your nervous system using various body-based (mindfulness and somatic) strategies that science shows effectively calm the nervous system.

    After completing the group, participants reported feeling;

    better able to manage body-based symptoms of trauma, anxiety and stress

    empowered in their mental health journey

    more connected and attuned to their bodies and needs

    able to experience moments of calm in their body, mind and thoughts

    About the Facilitator

    Shanen (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist practicing virtually in Ontario, Canada.  In her work, she strives to go beyond traditional talk therapy and is committed to helping people find safety and calm in their bodies again.  Shanen specializes in trauma-informed and integrative approaches with a special interest in body-focused modalities.
